Bio:

Maiya was raised by “hippie” anti-establishments cult members (embracing the old dead deity, Aurom, creating a sect that embraces death as a form of new life). Living in a small segregated group of home-schooled cultists, she learned to distrust properly educated wizards, large cities, governments and police forces, and necromancers. She showed natural talents with magic, so the cult leader and other magic dabblers took it upon themselves to teach her the way of magic.

Life with the cult took a sour turn when the cult leader wanted to experiment with the “new life” aspect of the cult tenenets and dabble in necromancy. Death was death after all and this went against the core teachings, but the leader was leader so must be right… in some way. That is, until the leader tried to raise Maiya’s dead sister. Horrified, she attacked the leader (and her unfortunately raised sister) with her meager spells. The fight was quickly lost. As victor, he rewrote the story: Maiya was the one dabbling in necromancy trying to raise her beloved ill-fated sister. Everyone she cared for turned on her and cast her out. Betrayed and alone, she dreams of vengeance against the leader. Yet, she still holds true to the cults core teachings.

Maiya is distrustful of properly educated wizards, large cities, governments and police forces, and, of course, necromancers.
